So lately I've been working with caricaturing. I hope this will help bring more character and personality out in my characters with these exaggerations, proportion, and lines.

Caricature: Lape

Very quick caricature. Supposed to be studying for my art history test, but decided to take a draw break... this is what came out of it. 

Todd White

This is a piece by Todd White - "SOLO".  I really like the exaggeration of this guy's pose.  Todd paints his characters with distortion and some simplicity.  And most of them don't have arms, but just hands.  It works though.  Exaggeration of poses, facial features, and expression all help make an exciting character with personality.  Lately, I've gone back to caricaturing, hoping to explore this exaggeration and developing my own style along the way.

Here's a piece I'm workin on in ceramics.  It's constructed with coils and is about 8in high right now.  I plan on closing the top, adding ears, and maybe adding hair.

Some character sketches... It's a cowboy theme: Good cowboy, Bad sheriff, tomboy cowgirl, and the friendly town drunk.  Still have a lot of work to do on these guys
